Poker Dictionary
Here is a list of words both used as more official poker terms and more unofficial kind of expression:
3bet – A reraise preflop
Bad Beat – A situation where two players gets All In with two very uneven hands and the worst hand wins
Bankroll – The amount of money a player has for playing poker – Normally very different from personal finances
Big Slick – Ace King as hole card in holdem
Blank – A card that most likely didn’t affect the situation before
Bluff – A bet or reraise to make a stronger hand fold than the players own holding
Bullets – Aces as a pocket pair
Button – 1. Definition of the small coin used to define where the specific hands should be dealt from 2. Expression for the player just before the blinds
Calling Station – A player who doesn’t like to fold and is often calling way to much than what is profitable
Cowboys – Kings as pocket pair
Cut-Off - The player to act before the Button player
Equity – A mathematical expression describing how big a share the player have in a given situation depending on which action he decide
Family Pot – When all players at the table play the same hand
Fish – A bad poker player
Gutshot – Term used to describe a straight draw where only one card can give the straight
Heads-Up – When only two players is playing at the table
Hit and Run – Very negative description of a player who wins a hand and then leaves the table
High-jack – The player to act befor the player sitting in Cut-Off position
Loose – Expression describing players who plays a lot of hands
Set – Three of a kind where the player has a pocket pair on his hand and has hit three of a kind with one card on the table
Setup – Situation where two or more  players have extremely strong hands
Split Pot – When two or more players have hands of equal strength, they share the pot
Steal - Expression used about preflop raises from players in Cut-Off to Small Blind
Squeeze – A 3bet with more than just the initial raiser in the pot – squeezes is often considered as a kind of stealing the pot
Suck out – When a player gets All In and is way behind but improves and wins the pot
Tight – Expresion describing players who plays few hands
Trips – Three of a kind where there is a pair on the board and the player has one card on the hand (read also about ‘Set’ which is often confused with trips)
UTG - Under the Gun – First player to act preflop
