When do you need poker freeroll passwords? Basicly there are three kinds of freerolls regarding registration. Public open freerolls, restricted freerolls and password freerolls. In this post we’ll have a look into these different kind of freerolls and explain advantages and disadvantages about these freerolls.
Open freerolls
These freerolls are almost all of them held by the poker sites themselves. And they come in many variants; multitable tournaments, sit and go’s, cash prizes and winnings can also be tournament tickets or even bonuses. You can read a lot more on different variants of poker freerolls here one Poker-Freeroller just click here.
What characterizes the typical open freeroll is a lot of players who is always trying their luck for some pretty small prizes. Which is a very fine service from the poker sites. You pay nothing so probably you shouldn’t expect to win the jackpot either. Small prizes can be the beginning of a big poker career like it were for the most famous true poker freeroller Anette Obrestad (Anette15). The hard thing about winning in these freerolls are the fact that a ton of players join them. We always have a list of the 20-25 next freerolls every hour of the day on 95% of any poker network or independent poker sites. Just click here or go to the ‘Freeroll List’ in the top bar.
Password freerolls
These freerolls are typically hosted and paid by private sites like Poker-Freeroller and they are semi-open. You just need to obtain a freeroll password to join them. This reduces the amount of players joining them significantly. And getting to the prizes are typically somewhat easier than in the open freerolls. If you sign up at the Password Notifier to your right you will recieve passwords for Poker-Freerollers exclusive password freerolls but we have been forced to reduce a lot of our password freerolls and replace them with restricted freerolls as poker password pirate sites steal our passwords and we have often experienced that up to 80% of the players are joining our password freerolls obtaining passwords from pirate sites.
The decline of password freerolls
Password freerolls are decreasing in numbers. And the reason is simple. Honest freeroll sites like Poker-Freeroller can not afford to keep donating these freerolls if players are primarely joining through password pirates. In honesty we don’t understand this need to steal passwords at the Pirate sites as the passwords are for free. You probably agree or else you wouldn’t be with us – and we are extremely glad you are. But it is an absurdity that 80 % of all players in password freerolls have stolen a free poker password. If you know of any one who does this please recommend him to join the real freeroll sites as the stealing of passwords are leading toward the fall of the actually very nice concept of password freerolls.
Freeroll Password surveys
There is one place where I almost understand why players wouldn’t use the actual freeroll site. These are the freeroll password survey sites. You will be asked to fill out a survey which takes maximum two minutes. This is just a plain lie. It never ever just takes 2 minutes – 5-10 minutes if you are lucky but that’s not the worst thing about these freeroll password surveys. Next day you will recieve several phone calls from all kinds of differents salesmen – last time I tried I used around one hour discussing with two very nice ladies about why I wasn’t interested in their ‘super offers’ on newspapers and tv-channels. On the other hand despite these annoying things you will most likely recieve the freeroll passwords.  These guys’ methods might be ugly – but they are not undermining the normal poker players’ possibility to join private freeroll passwords like  the password freeroll pirates are.
Restricted freerolls
Most of you have probably noticed that we have introduced a new big weekly freeroll that is restricted to players signing up through our unique poker links. These freerolls are most often characterized by having bigger prize pools and very few players joining compared to both password freerolls and open freerolls. At the moment Poker-Freerollers biggest restricted freeroll had 30 players joining it and the smallest had only 8 players – all with a prize pool of 50 dollars. These are private restricted freerolls and they are without competition the best online poker freerolls you can join for the time being. The problem about restricted private freerolls is that every weekend we get mails from one to two players who signed up correctly but is unable to join the freeroll. This can naturally be fixed but it takes time as wee need the poker sites to go in and fix the problem as they need to ‘retag’ the players – meaning connect them to Poker-Freeroller. And then the players won’t be able to join the freeroll untill next weekend.
There also exists other kind of restricted freeroll which are hosted by the poker sites themselves. These are typical restricted to regions and countries. To find out more about these freerolls please visit our list on country freerolls - this list is unique and has not been made by any other freeroll site in the world. The country freeroll list it is still under construction and a long way from being complete. If you know of any country or regional freerolls that hasn’t been listed we would appreciate if you emailed us and told us about the freeroll at contact@poker-freeroller.com
